To assist Vermont in understanding the compensation landscape of its early childhood workforce. The early childhood workforce encompasses a wide and varied field of professionals, including leaders, administrators, and staff who work directly with young children in a variety of settings (e.g. public/private; center-, school-, home-based; after-school). A review and analysis of current wage and fringe benefit structures will contribute to the development of strategies and policy recommendations that ultimately support and grow the early childhood workforce, a vital sector and key driver in the stateâs economy.
