This is a sources sought announcement in accordance with FAR 15.201 and in anticipation of a potential future procurement program. Information provided shall be treated as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) to the responder, exempt from public release under the Freedom of Information Act. This sources sought announcement is not a request for proposal. Information provided in response to this sources sought announcement will not be considered an offer by the responding contractor and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
The purpose of this amended sources sought is to provide clarification for this requirement. The potential contractor will need the capability and space to integrate both the DYNAMIC (AFDL-6) and the associated Barge (YFND-30).
MARMC is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest in performing the FY22 AUXILIARY FLOATING DRY DOCK (AFDL) on the DYNAMIC (AFDL-6) and associated Barge (YFND-30). MARMC is especially interested in determining small business capability and interest. The Government is seeking responses from sources that can perform dry-docking and pier-side maintenance, repair, and alterations anticipated to begin on or around April 20, 2022. The area of consideration is within the local Norfolk Port.
The Government has provided an outline of some of the work anticipated to be completed under the expected AFDL-6 (see DRAFT DYNAMIC (AFDL-6) and associated Barge (YFND-30) Specifications). The anticipated contract type will be firm-fixed price.
