This is not a solicitation, but a Notice of Contract Action. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Hyattsville, MD, intends to award a sole-source contract to the University of California, San Francisco, Department of Radiology and Imagine, for analysis and review of dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) whole body, proximal femur, anterior/posterior (AP) lumbar spine scans, including phantom scans using the most recent version of the Hologic APEX software. Under the authority of USC 2304(c)(1) pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(2)(i), supplies or services needed by the agency are available from only one responsible source and no ohter type of supplies or services will satisfy the needs of the agency. this is solely within the discretion of the Government. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. Inquiries should be directed no later than November 21, via email, referencing this No. 2015-N-16819, to Nina Waters, Contracting officer, at [email protected]. The Government will review all responses, without prejudice; whether or not the Government initially determines that another firm is full qualified to fulfill the requirement. No solicitation is available and telephone request for information will not be honored.
