Quotes are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service from eligible small business firms for the delivery and application of liquid dust abatement materials on 36.95 miles of road on the Salmon-Challis National Forest. Two road locations will receive the dust abatement treatment; the Salmon River Road near North Fork, Idaho (23.95 miles) and the roads leading into the Boundary Creek boat launch site near Stanley, Idaho (13.0 miles). Two products are specified as acceptable items; Magnesium or Calcium Chloride brines. Other products including oils, polymers or other proprietary formulations have not been evaluated under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act for use as dust suppressants on the Salmon-Challis National Forest.
