The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) intends to award a sole source contract to Durst Image Technology US LLC (Durst US), 50 Methodist Hill Drive, Suite 100, Rochester, NY.  NGA Support Team (NST) located at the National Air and space Intelligence Center (NASIC) has a requirement to convert all film imagery to digital format in support of the CAD and photogrammetric missions.  This process is being accomplished with a highly specialized and rare (16 in the World) Durst scanner.  The Durst scanner has started to fail in its optimal service capacity.  Request service from the only known source, Durst, to correct failures and replace faulty hardware.  The Government intents to solicit and negotiate with only one sole source under the authority of Title 41 U.S.C. 251, et seq. and Title 40 U.S.C. 501.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.  A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.  The North American Industry Classification System code is 811212, Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance.  Any inquiries resulting from this notice shall be submitted to Mr. Angelo Pappalardo.
