The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), ERRC, Core Technologies Research Unit, intend to negotiate solely with Varian, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA to furnish, deliver and install (FOB) Destination) one (1) Varian 1H-19F/15N-31P 5mm PFG Dual BroadBand NB Probe 400 MHz Part Number 0199004055. The Center utilizes a Varian NMR Spectrometer for chemical structure analysis. The purchase of a Dual Broadband probe, with Z-PFG capabilities and a 5mm sample size, will upgrade our capabilities, by enabling the use of gradient NMR experiments with âdirect-detectâ nuclei, improving 1H lineshape and resolution, and the observation and decoupling of high and low frequency broadband nuclei. The probe is fully capable of performing indirect detection experiments. The inner coil is tunable from 15N - 31P for optimum low frequency sensitivity. Outer coil is tunable from 1H to 19F for optimum high frequency sensitivity. Probe performance demonstrated during installation with standards in Wilmad 535-PP sample tube or equivalent. Companies with the demonstrated capability of providing this equipment must submit a descriptive statement, including descriptive literature, specifically addressing the equipments components and availability. The statement and literature must be submitted to the Contracting Office Address within 10 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.
