The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or for Small Business. The estimated value of this procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for DRYDOCK repairs to the USCG ANT BUFFALO (CG 49413), a 49 FOOT BUSL. The 49 FOOT BUSL is home ported in Buffalo, NY. The contractor shall perform all work at the Coast Guard facility. The performance period will be SIXTY (60) calendar days with a start date on or about 23 JULY 2008. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard the USCG ANT BUFFALO (CG 49413). This work will include, but is not limited to: Welding Repairs, Clean and Inspect Fuel Tanks (includes Disposal); Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Holding Tanks; Renew Propeller(s); Clean, Inspect, and Test Grid Cooler (s); Renew Vent Valves; Renew Sea Valves; Inspect and Test Air Receiver and Renew Relief Valve; Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder(s); Buoy Handling System Maintenance; Renew and Preserve A-Frame Sheave Assemblies; Inspect Various Deck Fittings; Preserve Lazarette bulkheads and Overhead; Preserve Buoy Deck; Preserve Underwater Body; Routine Drydocking Tasks; Remove, Inspect, & Reinstall Propeller Shafts and Install Intermediate Bearing and Upgrade Shaft Seal Assembly; and Air Test Skegs and Chain Guard. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. At the present time, this acquisition is expected to be issued Full and Open with no set aside.
