The Government has used this exact equipment in the past and intends to use again to maintain scientific consistency. The equipment will be delivered to the NOAA, Northeast Fisheries Science Center, Maine Field Station, 17 Godfrey Drive, Suite 1, Orono, ME 04473.

The FSC is 6695 and the NAICS is 541712. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for this requirement. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by September 18, 2009. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
