The AFNWC/PZID Kirtland AFB, NM intends to award a sole source contract to Northrup Grumman Cutting Edge Optronics for the purchase of Diode Pumped Solid State Laser Gain Module with the following specifications:

laser diode operation = quasi continuous wave (QCW), rod aperture diameter = 25.4-mm, rod material = Neodymium Ytterbium Aluminum Garnet (Nd:YAG), Pump length = 120-mm, peak pump power = 100 kilo Watts (kW), pump energy = 25 Joules (J), output energy > 9-J, Stored energy = 7.5-J, Small signal gain = 10, repetition rate = 20 Hertz, output wavelength = 1064 nanometers (nm). The supporting equipment includes all control electronics, laser diode drivers, and a chiller to cool the laser.

Northrup Grumman Cutting Edge is the only authorized vendor for an item meeting the above specifications.

Anticipated date of award is 28 August 2015. The FSC Code is 6650, the NAICS Code is 334413 and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement within three (3) days of this announcement.
