The purpose of this modification to add the Specifications, description and delivery - pickup requirements: 

The item in this solicitation as identified in the purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that will satisfy the Government's needs. The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics below must meet the specifications in the solicitation.

This requirement is for 320 Twin Dorm Mattresses, with measurements of 37 x 74 with 1' tolerance for dimensions, and 30 XL Twin Dorm Mattresses, with measurement of 37 x 79 with 1' tolerance dimensions.  Insulation- 1.75 oz heavy duty insulation pad, Safety- 0.5 Fire Barrier (CFR 1633 Compliant Federal Flammability Standard), Foam- HD Polyurethane Foam, Innerspring- 13 gauge tempered high carbon steel wire with 6' gauge border wire; orthopedic designed, Quilting- silver or grey Damask fabric, ½" HD Polyurethane foam, 1 oz nonwoven quilt backing, Padding- 1" thick heavy duty lofted fiber pad, ½" thick HD polyurethane foam, Stitching- 1 ¼" White tape with TEX-45 flameout firefly yellow thread or equivalent, Edged Support- Leggett & Platt U guard polyurethane edge support system or equivalent.

Delivery and pick up of old mattresses is required----- Delivery should be scheduled seven (7) days in advance within twenty-one (21) days ARO.

As result the solicitation is extended to August 23, 2010, 2pm est
