Market research and investigation is being conducted by the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Clothing and Textiles Directorate to seek domestic sources for Gloves, Menâs and Womenâs Anti-Vibration (Certified). DSCP and the Navy, in conjunction with OSHA are attempting to develop domestic sources for an Anti-Vibration (A/V) glove. The Navy tested two non-domestic gloves that meet the intended form fit and function (Chase Erogonomic, Part Numbers, 49005WN, 49004WN, 49003WN, 49002WN, 49001WN, 49105WN, 49104WN, 49103WN, 49102WN, 49191WN). A draft commercial item description is attached. The A/V glove shall provide full-finger protection and be in compliance with ANSI S2.73-2002/ISO 10819: 1996 certification. This certification shall be obtained by an independent third party, not associated with the vendor or manufacture. Glove packaging shall include suggested best tool application for glove use, (i.e., Pneumatic hammer, hand-held grinder). The estimated annual requirement for these gloves is 30,000 pair minimum to 150,000 pair maximum. Information is required to determine if the AV glove can be manufactured domestically in the quantity and quality necessary to meet its requirements: 1) Identify all domestic places of performance; 2) Identify sources of supply for all component items; 3) the total monthly and yearly maximum capacity; 4) the minimum or desired monthly and yearly quantities you would produce and 5) the production lead-time need to start production.
