The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to D.R. Myers Distributing Company, dba Driver's License Guide Company to renew an electronic resource entitled Docutector. Docutector is an online document forgery detection database used as a visual standard to inspect documents submitted by claimants. The period of performance will be for a base year and 4 one-year option periods. Under FAR Part 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is utilizing procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with procedures under FAR Part 13. D.R. Myers Distributing Company is the only known source that can provide a document forgery detection database that provides exact replicas of state driver's licenses, passports and other official government identification credentials. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government does not intend to pay for information provided in response to this publication. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. If no affirmative responses are received with 3 business days of this notice, negotiations will be conducted with D.R. Myers Distributing Company, dba Driver's License Guide Company. A contract will be issued without any additional notices being posted. Respondents should refer to SSA-RFQ-10-1270.
