Western Area Power Administration intends to award a sole source contract to Doble Engineering Company, 85 Walnut Street, Watertown, MA 02472 for a performance period of three (3) years. Authority for other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The resulting procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial items. This requirement is for the lease of electrical power-factor insulation test equipment. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all interest and capability statements, including prices, received within 5 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334515; size standard is 500 employees.
