Q1: Will this support request require Cleared Support? If so, what level?

A1 + A2: We do not need cleared support for the Hitachi. Hitachi had the warranty, originally Sun had it but, when Oracle bought them out they dropped all the Hitachi equipment so Hitachi honored the warranty.
