The project contemplated consists of removing existing flights, chains, sprockets, shafts, bearings, chain, tracks, and various other components of the top skimmers and bottom collectors of Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) thickeners 7, 9, 10, and 12 at the South Shore Water Reclamation Facility (SSWRF) and replacing them with new components. The construction work shall include mechanical work to remove and install the components and a small amount of electrical work to remove and replace the drive motors for the top skimmers on all DAFs and a recycle valve on one DAF.
