REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Disposal of Existing Water Wells At the Yosemite West Maintenance Yard Project # 0912-2001 Mariposa County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals to dispose (2) two existing water wells. The wells are located at the Public Works - Yosemite West Maintenance Yard – address 7455 Henness Ridge Rd., Yosemite NP CA 95389. The depths of the two wells are unknown. SCOPE OF SERVICES: • Cost of disposing/destroying the wells. • Cap off any water lines from the wells that are actively attached to the drinking water distribution mains. The lines shall be capped off as close as possible to the water distribution main. • Removal of well houses, electrical, and plumbing • Removal of any debris from site created by disposing/destroying the wells and restoring site to natural state (examples; well piping, ruts, pits, left over concrete, and other materials brought in to the site for the purpose destroying of wells.) • Wells need to be disposed/destroyed in accordance to California Department of Water Resources Bulletins 74-81 and 74-90 and the top 100 feet be filled with concrete (5 feet below surface). Prior to filling with concrete, the depth will need to be verified by county staff. • Any Required permits must be obtained by the Mariposa County Environmental Health Department and California Waterboards Division of Drinking Water. • Contractor must have valid C-57 license • Bidders must use prevailing wage in their bids.
