1. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK:
A. Direct the Catholic CCD Program during the school year.
B. Direct Preparation for the First Communion and Confirmation.
C. Attend training provided by the local dioceses and then enlist and train volunteers.
D. Conduct outreach program including fellowships, outings etc. for the purpose of attracting people to the program as participants and volunteers.
E. Select (in coordination with the chaplain) and submit for ordering curriculum materials for CCD, confirmation and First Communion.
F. Order and manage supplies and resources for the CCD Program.
G. Submit bulletin/newsletter announcements concerning Religious Education Programs.
H. Provide a substitute with equal qualifications when unable to perform services.
I. Purchase and set up any refreshments for fellowship time after Sunday Mass.
2. REQUIRED WORKING DAYS
A. Sunday-1030-1200
B. Wednesday-1300-1430 (at home) preparation
For Confirmation:
a. Retreat day- January (month varies each year) (5 hours, time varies)
b. Confirmation Practice-March (month varies each year) 1 ½ hours
c. Confirmation-(a Tuesday in March) 2 hours
For Communion:
a. Communion on Mother’s Day (Sunday)
b. Communion practice (one week before Communion) in May 1 hour
c. Penance Ceremony (Friday in April) 1 ½ hours
e. Nov. and Dec. every Saturday prep for Advent (1 hour each Saturday) implementing on Sunday
Religious Activities for adults:
a. Religious Activities for adults 1 hour per week in Nov. and Dec.
b. Feb. or March Lent (1 hour per week prep work) implementing on Sunday
