The CBP Los Angeles Laboratory is requesting a DirectProbe (DIP) which is an add-on part for the Bruker APCI II system currently at the Laboratory. This accessory is only offered by Bruker Daltonics. The DirectProbe will enable analysis of a wide range of substances such as synthetic drugs, steroids, proteins, food and plant material, controlled substances, explosives, trace analysis, and semi-quantitation of compound of interest. By providing this part its very broad application range will be beneficial to the Los Angeles Lab in the analysis of samples in both controlled substances and trade commodities.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Bruker Daltonics Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all parties who identify their interest and capability to satisfy this requirement will be considered. No solicitation will be issued, therefore, all requests for the solicitation will be considered non-responsive. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government.
