The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS),
Human Nutrition Research Center (HNRC) intends to award a sole source, fixed price purchase order to the Dionex Corporation (A part of ThermoFisher Scientific) located at 3000 Lakeside Drive Suite 116N Bannockburn, IL 60015 for an Ion Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer manufactured solely by Dionex. The proposed award is being conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (b)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable NAICS code is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS.  A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures, other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1, and Statutory Authority: 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Vendors who believe they can provide the aforementioned requirement are invited to submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact within 4 days after publication of this notice.
