The Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal intends to issue a solicitation is support of the Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), System Simulation and Development Directorate (SSDD). It is the Government's intent to issue a Base Period, with a four year option, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. This is a 100 percent small business set-aside.

The effort includes, SSDD has a requirement to enhance and maintain its current suite of missile modeling simulation, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and prototype development facilities. The desired objective simulation and development facilities will leverage existing capabilities, explore future capabilities, develop complex interfaces, and maintain digital simulation, HWIL, and prototyping facilities. The intent of this effort is to develop, test, field and maintain as necessary these facilities including support to a variety of applications to include maintenance calibration, ground and flight test simulation, coupled with simulation performance assessments. Additionally, a variety of simulation and development activities will assess warfighter requirements for war games, exercises and training events as well as the system engineering requirements for concept analysis and element requirements for element integration. Data collection, centralized execution controls, and common Truth Service models such as phenomenology, lethality, environment, threat and communications are required.

The official release of the solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. The formal RFP will include all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of the solicitation will be issued.

It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor the FBO website on a regular basis for any updates. Other documents, as necessary, will be posted when available.
