The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), Dengue Branch contemplates an award of a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to the University of Utah, 201 Presidents Circle, Room 201, Salt Lake City, UT  84112 for the Development of a Nanoparticle-based Antigen Diagnostic Test for Dengue for a period of one year after award.  

The NAICS Code is 611310 and the Standard Business Size of 500 employees.

The sole source award will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13.106(b)(1); only one source will satisfy Agency requirements. This requirement is not set-aside for small business. CDC is not requesting competitive proposals and no solicitation will be available. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement NLT August 29, 2012, 8:00 am, EST. The determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will assume all financial costs for preparing any response to this notice. The Government assumes no financial obligation for the preparation and distribution of prepared responses.
