The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will retain engineering firms/teams to provide Engineering and Design Services for the conversion to Open Road Tolling (ORT) along the PA Turnpike mainline (I-76) between Reading Interchange (#286) and Gateway Service Plaza (#2) located near the PA/Ohio Line. The services will cover preliminary and final design including: roadway rehabilitation plans, mainline toll gantry structure and foundation design, toll building architectural/mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) services, signing (including signing for off-turnpike sign conversions/installations), pavement marking, existing interchange building and toll plaza demolition plans, survey, MPT, right of way and utility, drainage modifications, E&S, environmental permitting, HOP coordination with various PennDOT Districts, Labor & Industry building permitting, final contract documents and construction schedules. Actual toll gantry designs along with conceptual toll zone layout including conceptual utility building provided by PTC. ORT Toll Site designs and demo of existing toll plazas will be two separate PS&E packages. 5-year contract agreement length is assumed
