The City of Lancaster (City) is soliciting Qualifications and Proposal from qualified Design-Build Entities to provide design-build services related to the design and construction of renovations to the Public Safety Building. This project is utilizing a Best Value Design-Build procurement method whereby the City will establish a stipulated sum for the Design-Build contract; the City expects to accomplish all work associated with the project within an established budget of $2,000,000.00. The successful Project Team must be aware of the budget limitations and be able to provide a clear plan for completing the required work that meets the project's goals within the project budget constraints. The Public Safety Building includes a ground floor (22,400 sf) and mezzanine (6,040 sf) for a total area of 29,440 square-feet. The City has identified the need to renovate the existing building to accommodate the needs and operations of the Lancaster Public Safety Department. The current concept for the project envisions interior renovations to reconfigure the lobby, reception areas, and board room; rehabilitate existing offices, cubicle spaces, breakroom and ancillary spaces; repair the roof and damage due to leaks; remove all existing ethernet and other abandoned cabling and replace with CAT 6a; provide for 2 data drops per workspace and conference rooms; re-key exterior doors and install interior and exterior badge entry; update fire alarm and security system; shelving installation (storage) and shelving installation (server room); cosmetic improvements (removal and disposal of broken and abandoned FF&E, deep cleaning, other minor repairs, interior painting, flooring, etc.) to refresh, finish, and unify spaces; and the installation of new FF&E.
