The City of Peoria (City) is seeking an experienced design consultant team (Consultant) for the preparation of construction documents for Project 2 of the Reclaimed Water Implementation Plan. The City has been working with consultants and contractors under separate contracts on the implementation of Project 1 of the Reclaimed Water Master Plan, which involves extending the reclaimed water system from central Peoria, the Beardsley Wastewater Reclamation Facility (WRF), to north Peoria for landscape irrigation and lake feature use, including use at the City’s new Paloma Community Park. The intent of Project 2 is to connect the Jomax Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) reclaimed water system to the Beardsley WRF reclaimed water system with a pipeline that will convey water to/from the Pleasant Valley Reservoir and Booster Pump Station. The utilization of reclaimed water produced at the City’s Jomax WRF varies due to seasonal demand. By connecting the two reclaimed water systems, the City intends to mitigate these seasonal demand issues and increases operational flexibility of the system in north Peoria.
