The August 10, 2020 Derecho storm felled many trees throughout the City. Many of these trees were toppled completely over causing damage to the streets, curbing, and sidewalk in the terrace areas. The City of Marshalltown has identified six sites in the City where damage to the streets, curbing or sidewalk has occurred. This proposal is to remove and repair the damaged streets, curbing, and sidewalk. Once the work is completed areas disturbed by the work will be seeded, fertilized and mulched to restore grasses.
