This is a pre-solicitation notice for commercial items.

The Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) Program Office within U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has a requirement for Density Meters (units and replacement parts) and the associated services of warranty, maintenance, and training. 

CBP intends to issue a single award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from the upcoming solicitation.  There is a single, five-year ordering period on this IDIQ.  Orders issued on this IDIQ can extend beyond the ordering period.  The total effective period of the IDIQ could be up to ten years.

The upcoming solicitation will be issued as Request for Proposals (RFP) HSBP1015R0041.  This RFP will be solicited using the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 15.

The anticipated IDIQ is expected to use a firm-fixed price schedule.  The expected ordering period will be from approximately September 15, 2015 through August 14, 2020.

The relevant North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334517.

The expected ceiling value for this IDIQ is roughly $16.5 million.

This RFP will be released for full and open competition on or after July 14, 2015.
