The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is issuing an Intent to Procure via Sole Source the award of a Firm Fixed Price-Level of Effort contract with The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD to continue evaluation of neuroprotective agents that make it possible to assess injury severity and to predict outcomes as well as macrophage cell tracking and structural imaging through an outcome measurement of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) in accordance with a WRAIR animal model using Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Dendrimer-drug Nanoparticle Therapy (US patent #8,889,101, Awarded 2014). The estimated period of performance for this acquisition is one year with four one-year options for a total of five years. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible, interested parties may identify their interest by submitting capability information by Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. EST in order to establish the ability of the responder to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government; information received will be considered for the sole purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
