The demolition of the existing sanitary sewer lift station located at the Northwest corner of Gosford Road and McCutchen Road. Existing surface improvements, structures, and appurtenances less than 10 feet below the existing ground surface will be removed, and either salvaged for City re-use or disposed of by the contractor. Structures and appurtenances more than 10 feet below the existing ground surface will be abandoned in place. A minimum vertical length of 10 feet will be cut from the wet well shaft. The 48-inch sewer pipeline and wet well will be sanitized and backfilled. The items to be removed and salvaged to the City include the control cabinets, pumps and bases, blower, and the chain link fencing and gates. The items to be removed from the site and disposed of include the concrete curb, concrete slabs, gravel, concrete wet well lid/roof and upper 10 feet of walls, valves and fittings, valve vault, 12-inch and 16-inch pipelines and fittings, and misc. electrical wiring. The items to be abandoned in place include the 48-inch pipeline and concrete wet well floor and lower 26 feet of shaft.
