The work to be performed consists, in general, of demolition of improvements at 411, 421, 423, & 425 Truxtun Avenue and removal of all structures, foundations, landscaping, fences where designated, debris, out buildings, patios, asbestos or lead containing materials, and grading sites to match existing grades. Contractor shall protect in place the existing Greek Orthodox Church on the east side of this project. Pursuant to Part 7 of Division 2 of the California Labor Code (Section 1720 et seq.), the Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rate of wages to workers on this project as determined by the Director of California Department of Industrial Relations. A project site visit has been scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10:30 AM at 423 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93301. Contractors wishing to bid this project will be able to walk thru the site at that time. While this is not mandatory in order to bid on this project, the City strongly recommends that all contractors wishing to bid on this project attend this site visit.
