The Arlington Independent School District (the “District”) is requesting proposals from qualified law firms for the collection of delinquent ad valorem taxes, penalty and interest which are owed to the District. The District contracts with the Tarrant County Tax Assessor Collector for property tax billing and collection services. As such, it does not maintain an internal tax office. Historically, the District has contracted delinquent tax collection services to a law firm. The contract term for the incumbent firm expires December 31, 2021, and the District is undertaking this Request for Proposal process to select a qualified delinquent tax collection firm for a contract term effective January 1, 2022. It is the intent of the District to have no financial responsibilities for any fees associated with the collection of delinquent taxes. All tax collection and other legal services fees will be paid by the delinquent taxpayer in accordance with State statutes and based upon the terms proposed by the delinquent tax collection firm.
