The Fort Riley Recycle Program is currently accepting bids for the sale of approximately 43,000 lbs. of deformed scrap brass cartridge casings. The casings are assorted sizes and are all.50 caliber or smaller. The casings are currently stored in boxes inside a warehouse on Fort Riley.
These products are being advertised for sale using a spot bid process. Interested bidders should complete the attached bid sheet and return them (by email) to the Fort Riley Environmental Division no later than 1:00 PM on November 12th, 2019. Send bids to [email protected]
Interested bidders may personally inspect the materials by appointment at the Fort Riley Recycle Center. Additional photos can be provided by request. Bidders with a history of late payment or returned check might be disqualified from bidding.
The casings have been processed with a deformer and verified as safe. The Fort Riley Recycle Program has removed any noticeable contamination, live rounds, or casings larger than .50 caliber. If your bid is accepted, you will be required to pay the full bid price regardless of any contamination, live rounds, or large casings that may accidently remain in the load.
