This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice: The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), intends to acquire construction services for our facility at the USDA-National Centers for Animal Health (NCAH) Building 400 1920 Dayton Avenue Ames, IA 50010. This requirement is to deconstruct 142,000 SF - Single story structure with a partial basement and sub-basement (boiler room). Exterior facades consist of brick and masonry walls. Substructure consists of cast-in-place concrete perimeter foundation walls with spread footings, and cast-in-place slab on grade. Superstructure is of glue laminated beams with steel columns with walls of brick and concrete masonry. The building has a built up roofing system on wood decking and glue laminated beams and wood frame The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to accomplish the work referenced above. It is anticipated that a single award will be made. This requirement is Set Aside 8(a) Program and shall be awarded on the basis of sole source, which is to be awarded as a fixed price contract. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation, #AG-32KW-S-15-0094, it is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. It is anticipated that the solicitation, AG-32KW-S-15-0094, is to be released at www.fedbizopp.gov on or about June 4, 2015.
