Open - accepting bids and proposals Monday, November 29, 2021 - 10:00am The City of Decatur will receive sealed bids for the Decatur Legacy Park Stone Dairy Barn Stabilization Project, Decatur, Georgia 30030, on November 29, 2021 until 10 a.m., in the City Commission Room at Decatur City Hall, 509 North McDonough Street, Decatur, Georgia, 30030, at that time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. This work project includes the stabilization of the Stone Dairy Barn on the campus of Legacy Park located at 500 South Columbia Drive, Decatur, Georgia 30030. The project includes the removal of the existing shingle roof, repair and replacement of decking, installation of an insulating roofing system to fry the building to prevent any future deterioration of the wooden framing system and other items as specifically outlined in the architectural document attached. The proposals must be delivered by the deadline to the City Manager’s Office on the 2nd Floor of the Decatur City Hall, (509 North McDonough Street, Decatur, GA 30030) and shall be marked the “Decatur Legacy Park Stone Dairy Barn Stabilization Project”. The bidder must submit three (3) copies of their proposal with one marked original. A pre-bid meeting onsite is scheduled for 10 a.m., November 17, 2021 at Legacy Park located at 500 South Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA 30030. A site visit can also occur by appointment. Any questions regarding bids and/or misunderstandings that may arise from this proposal should be submitted, via email and should be directed to Felix Floyd, Facilities Maintenance Superintendent, at [email protected], no later than November 22, 2021 at 3 p.m. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their gender, race, color, genetic information, religion, national origin, political affiliation, age, handicapped status, sexual orientation, sexual preference, or gender identity and expression. Proposals will be considered only from experienced and well-equipped contractors. Prior to beginning construction, the successful bidder will file with the City a certificate of insurance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the financial stability of the bidders and their demonstrated ability to perform satisfactorily, prior to awarding the contract.
