Code and Description: 7042 Mini and Micro Computer Control Devices

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12 and 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.

Synopsis/Solicitation N0017819Q6925 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Synopsis/Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation.

This requirement is not eligible for small business set-aside.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a brand name basis, manufactured by Data Device Corporation (CDC) twenty DDC 1553 Interface Adapter Cards. The DDC 1553 Interface Adapter Cards have already been tested and validated to ensure timing requirements are met. These items are also required to comply with Information Assurance (IA) requirements imposed by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) for the certification & accreditation approval processes. Using a different manufacturer's equipment would require significant upfront and long term testing and logistics support, requalification and training, and could require significant modification to the existing simulation systems. Data Device Corporation (CDC) is located in Bohemia, NY.

Please include shipping/freight cost to Dahlgren, VA 22448-5114. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for award in accordance with FAR Part 12. The order shall be firm fixed price.

All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. At time of proposal submission please submit any historical data as well as published pricing. Award will be made based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable.
