The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation's foremost federally funded biomedical research institution. It is comprised of twenty-seven Institutes, Centers and Divisions. The Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Center is the on-site 267-bed hospital for the NIH campus comprised of clinical, laboratory and administrative staff who support the Institutes as they conduct clinical research working with inpatients and outpatients participating in research studies at the NIH. The Department of Peri-Operative Medicine Provides Surgical procedures in support for patients enrolled in the experimental protocols of several Institutes.

Purpose
The Department of Per-Operative Medicine is requesting to purchase Da Vinci disposables supplies for the DA Vinci XI Robot and Da Vinci SI Robot instruments. The Da Vinci surgical robot system by Intuitive surgical consist of a surgeon console, patient--, instrument and image processing vision equipment a full range of disposable instruments are needed to support the surgeon while operating just in open surgery.

This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this notice. Responses to this notice shall contain sufficient information to establish the interested parties' bona-fide capabilities for fulfilling the requirement and include a technical proposal, a cost-price proposal, the period of performance, the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size. All offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to the market research this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to proceed on a non-competitive basis or to conduct a competitive procurement.
