Stream Access Question:

Q -Is it the contractor's responsibility to gain access to stream segments through private parcels in some cases? What level of effort is expected to gain access, especially in cases where the landowner cannot be reached or cannot be determined without significant effort? Or, even in cases where access is denied?

A -We don't have any stream segments on private land to be surveyed for this project. With intermingled ownership, there may be locations where the contractor may need to go around private to get back on a federally owned stream segments. To the best of our knowledge, all stream segments on federally owned land should be accessible via federal property or county roads.
