Masticating all colonizing conifers (avg. 100 tpa) greater than 1 foot, retaining juniper on north slopes greater than 30% (leave islands/areas will be identified). Depending on the type of equipment used, up to 50% of the area may not be accessible by equipment, areas that cannot be accessed by mastication equipment need to be lop and scattered by hand. Material in the Mikes Creek drainage needs to be cut into pieces 2’ long to keep from plugging the culverts downstream. Juniper within 10’ of the stream channel will be left standing.
