The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a sole source cost-reimbursement type order with DRS Systems, Inc. Melbourne, FL for non-recurring engineering (NRE) for technical insertion of the DAIRCM software Operational Flight Program (OFP) into the MH-60S, UH-1Y, AH-1Z, H-6, and HH-60G platforms;  NRE for prototype boresight test kit development, production, and delivery; and repair of test assets in support of the AN/AAQ-45 Distributed Aperture Infrared Countermeasures (DAIRCM) Joint Urgent Operation Need Statement (JUONS) system configuration to support Department of Defense (DoD) requirements.

This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to DRS Systems, Inc. in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because DRS Systems, Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  In addition, the Government does not own a technical data package (TDP) for the AN/AAQ-45 which is suitable for competition.  Drawings and data are proprietary to DRS Systems, Inc.  Please contact DRS Systems, Inc.
