Page 2 of 2 NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI) 5200 Butler Pike PO Box 637 Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. The period of performance for contract award will be from March 1, 2020 through February 28, 2021 with four (4) option years. This requirement is to provide access to ECRI subscription Health Device Gold to provide access to a database of information about healthcare products, suppliers and service providers for healthcare technologies around the world, unbiased reports, hazards and recall alerts, problem reporting system, consultation services, product evaluations, detailed guidance articles. Alerts Tracker Product Coverage provide capital medical equipment and components, durable medical equipment, medical surgical supplies, electromechanical and biologic implants, clinical laboratory reagents, contrast media, drugs, blood products, and food products, annual hardware maintenance and support service for VISN 2 VA Healthcare Systems. The subscription will offer web-based system; staff can electronically distribute vital information about medical device, drug alerts and recalls. The verified information from ICRI Institute, FDA, manufacturers, and other sources is sent directly to appropriate staff throughout the VISN staff and Medical Centers. ECRI offers a customizable Web-based system with tracking features and reports on action taken. Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI) is the only known provider since the software is proprietary and the software upgrades and maintenance can only be provided by Emergency Care Research Institute (ECRI). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by January 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to [email protected]. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
