16. Description:
a. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W9133L-12-R-0035 and will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-12.

b. The Army National Guard Bureau is seeking to procure XSAN Server Equipment needed to store high resolution images and graphic files. The XSAN Server Equipment and Software is required to supplement out of date, obsolete, non-redundant, failing server equipment and software currently in use by the SRSC. The SRSC currently does not have a redundant storage solution with the ability to store large amounts data for the high resolution images, graphics files and raw high definition video files created by the SRSC. This equipment and software will give the SRSC the fully redundant server/storage solution required to store these high resolution images, graphics files and raw high definition video files. This equipment and software is fully upgradeable to meet the needs of the SRSC. The Server, Storage Solution with Software will continue the efficiency and productivity of our facility and will give the SRSC a network disaster recovery solution that currently does not exist.
c. The Government intends to compete this requirement with all interested vendors that qualify for Government contracts.
