The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Acquisition Operations (OAO), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey, intends to modify an existing to contract to maintain coverage for Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) services on the VA Region 3 Telecommunications Business Office (R3 TBO) XO Communications infrastructure. TAC intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price modification to XO Communications, 13865 Sunrise Valley Drive, Herndon, Virginia 20171, pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 entitled, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." However, in accordance with FAR 5.207(c)(16)(ii), all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The period of performance is 60 days, plus three, 30 day options. The proposed modification is for LEC services to include OC-3 data circuit services currently being provided at the Cape Coral VA facility located at - 2489 Diplomat Parkway, E, Cape Coral, Florida 33909. Coverage and services shall be in place on October 1, 2015 with no interruptions to the circuits or services. The North American Industrial Classification code for this effort is 517110.
