The NIH Library intends to procure on a sole source basis to Thieme New York for electronic access to (37) 2003 journal titles. Specifically, the contractor shall provide the following titles: American Journal of Perinatology, Clinics in Colon and Rectal Surgery, DMW – Deutsche Medizinische Wochenschrift, Endoscopy, Experimental & Clinical Endocrinology & Diabetes, Facial Plastic Surgery, Fortschritte Der Neuroligie-Psychiatrie, Hormone & Metabolic Research, International Journal of Sports Medicine, Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery, Laryngo-Rhino-Otologie, Neuropediatrics, Perspectives in Vascular Surgery, Pharmacopsychiatry, Planta Medica, Seminars in Hearing, Seminars in Liver Disease, Seminars in Musculoskeletal Radiology, Seminars in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Seminars in Reproductive Medicine, Seminars in Speech and Language, Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, Seminars in Neurology, Seminars in Neurosurgery, Seminars in Interventional Radiology, Seminars in Vascular Medicine, Skull Base Surgery, Sleep and Breathing, Synlett, Synthesis, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon, Zeitschrift Fur Gastronterologie, European Journal of Perinatology, Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery, Osteosynthesis and Trauma Care, Planta Biology, Seminar in Plastic Surgery. The period of performance or subscription will be from January 1, 2003 to December 31, 2003. Thieme New York provides the only legal source for electronic access to these (37) titles, copyrighted works. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System code (511120) with a size standard of (500 Employees). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product/service. All capability statements received within (15) days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Numbered Note 22.
