The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a contract on a sole source basis for an updated version of the Taclink Modem control software to Raytheon Corporation, 1010 Production Road, Ft Wayne, IN 46808. The justification permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The purpose of this action is to procure an updated version of the Taclink Modem control software that was originally designed and written by the Raytheon Corporation. There are no requests for proposal available for competitive bidding. However, interested parties are encouraged to submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement. All communications shall be in writing. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice. Proprietary information shall be clearly identified as such and! will be protected. Any questions regarding this announcement shall be addressed in writing to the contract specialist listed in this announcement. See number note 22.
