The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to procure on a sole source basis the following: three (3) TACLANE KG-175A GigE Encryptors. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with General Dynamics C4 Systems. This procurement is in support of the Joint Transformation Command ? Intelligence. General Dynamics C4 Systems is the only supplies of the Encryptors with the capability of meeting the Government?s requirement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by the specified response date. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. However, the Government will consider information received by the specified response date. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses is solely within the discretion of the Government.
