The Defense Distribution Center, New Cumberland, PA intends to award a sole source purchase order to SAVI Technology for software. This software will be installed on its SAVI workstations. The DDC will utilize simplified acquisition procedures and other than full and open competition since SAVI’s software is proprietary and is the only product able to function on SAVI workstations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 14 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Proposals must include the qualifications/capabilities of the company to perform the services, brochures, and price lists. Responses received without this information may be considered nonresponsive to this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
