NASA/KSC has a requirement for one (1) Pointwise and Gridgen perpetual softwarelicense and annual maintenance. NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Pointwise. Pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1),thecircumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Currentlythe Engineering Design Analysis Branch (NE-M1) has been conducting CFD analyses forproblems related to launch induced environment problems, in which grid generation is animportant pre-processing step; therefore, we need an advanced tool such as Gridgen toproduce high quality computational grids for complex geometry.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to

Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
