D - The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source 12-month extension, with the associated cost increase, to the existing Nuclear Planning and Execution Systems Upgrades (NPES) contract to Alpha Research & Technology (ART), Inc. This extension will be for the period of 1 Oct 07 through 30 Sep 08 under Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1 to continue service until a follow-on contract can be awarded. This is an extension to a previously competed contract. ART, Inc. possesses unique ongoing task experience and provides the skills required by USSTRATCOM in order to provide the continued NPES support until a follow-on contract can be awarded. No solicitation will be issued at this time. NAICS Code for this requirement is 541511. This is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. However, interested offeror’s may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by COB (1600 CDT) 19 Mar 2007. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
