The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to procure on a sole-source basis MAX participation and Internet2 port connection services from the University of Maryland (UMD), Mid-Atlantic Crossroads (MAX). UMD/MAX is the only source for the required services for entities in the Washington Metropolitan region. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
