The Government intends to issue the formal solicitation/Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Joint Hawaii Information Transfer System (JHITS), RFP No. HC1019-04-R-0008 on or about 3 June 2005. JHITS is a telecommunication service acquisition that will provide inter- and intra-base telecommunications services for the Department of Defense (DOD) in the State of Hawaii, providing end-to-end common user switched and dedicated transmission services. JHITS will provide voice and data transport to DOD and other authorized agencies within the State of Hawaii. The formal RFP will be posted and available via the JHITS website. Interested offerors will need to be registered on the website in order to gain access to the RFP. Offerors who may require registration to the website will need to contact the primary and/or secondary points of contact cited on this posting.
