The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical School for the Military, intends to award on a sole source basis with Verizon Federal, Inc., utilizing the authority of FAR 6.302-1. To the best of the Contracting Officer's knowledge, Verizon Federal, Inc. is the only source available in the Washington, D.C. area to provide IPRS. A total of 50 IPRS ports with ATM access service for the Internet are required and will be awarded on a best value basis. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. However, if an organization has reason to believe that it can meet or exceed all the needs of the University for this requirement, it may submit documentation to support it's claim.
